The role of SHBG is to bind testosterone and oestradiol for circulating in the tissues of the body. The concentration of SHBG is directly relative to the level of hormones in males or females. SHBG is checked to detect low levels of testosterone in males and high levels in females.

If fasting or limiting alcohol intake is required before your blood test, we will send you personalized instructions via email after your order is placed. However, most tests can be taken without the need for fasting.
When will I get my results/how will I receive my results?
Results are typically processed within 2–3 working days. If a sample is sent over the weekend (which we do not recommend), you will receive your results within 2–3 days from the following Monday. Once your results and personalized report are ready, you will receive an email notification with instructions to log in to the Welzo online platform and view your results.
