Gluten is one of the biggest intolerances throughout the world, and, due to environmental changes, has been on the rise in recent years. Gluten intolerance is unusual because it can be genetic and experienced from birth or can develop in an individual in later life. Individuals who do not suffer from a caffeine intolerance can consume several cups of coffee a day without feeling any unpleasant side effects.

Those who suffer from a caffeine intolerance will instead be unable to consume even the smallest amount of caffeine without feeling an intense rush from the stimulant.



An extremely rare intolerance, but one that can still occur in adults, is an amines intolerance. Amines can be found in ripe fruits, such as strawberries and bananas; or in aged proteins, including meats and cheeses.

An amine intolerance causes low blood pressure, cramps, headaches, skin flushing, anxiety, and itching.
